The Seabourne Road development is a testament to Christie Developments’ persistence and attention to detail. This project involved the creation of three thoughtfully designed 1.5-storey dwellings, blending traditional charm with modern living.
Securing planning permission was a drawn-out process that spanned three years. After navigating numerous challenges and revisions, permission was granted—paving the way for construction to begin in July 2024.
The homes were completed in February 2025 and are now available on the market and available to purchase. With a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £1.65 million, the project reflects the strong demand for well-designed, energy-efficient homes in the Bexhill area
This standout project on Hurst Road, Eastbourne, captured public attention—featured twice on BBC’s Homes Under the Hammer. Christie Developments acquired the site and undertook a year-long process to secure full planning permission for three striking four-storey detached townhouses.
The design included complex elements such as a basement/lower ground floor for each home and the construction of a substantial retaining wall—making this one of the more technically challenging builds in the company’s portfolio.
Construction began in March 2023 and was completed in March 2024. Thanks to strong demand and meticulous execution, all three homes were occupied by new homeowners by September 2024. The development achieved a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £1.95 million and reinforced Christie Developments’ reputation for tackling ambitious, high-spec residential projects with precision and care.
In January 2021, Christie Developments acquired a prime site on Marshfoot Lane in Hailsham, East Sussex. The project involved the development of a pair of high-specification semi-detached homes, designed to appeal to modern families.
Construction began in September 2021, with the build completed efficiently and on schedule in April 2022. Despite challenges presented by a volatile materials market at the time, the team successfully delivered two beautifully finished homes that met all design and regulatory expectations.

Wallis Place was a compact yet well-executed single-dwelling development—a modern bungalow offering 98 square metres of thoughtfully designed living space.
From breaking ground to final handover, the build was completed in just four months, demonstrating Christie Developments’ ability to deliver efficient, high-quality construction on a tight timeline. The home was designed to meet the needs of downsizers or single-level living seekers, with a strong focus on comfort, practicality, and contemporary styling.
The project achieved a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £450,000 and stands as an example of how small-scale developments can still deliver strong results in both design and return.
Located minutes from the picturesque seafront, our Sackville Road project showcases a sensitive and stylish transformation of a former office space into modern residential living. The development includes the full conversion of the existing office into a bright and spacious 2 bedroom first floor flat. alongside the refurbishment of a second self-contained flat — ideal for rental or multi-generational living. The five-month build also included a thoughtful loft conversion, adding a generous additional bedroom complete with an ensuite. Designed to make the most of the coastal views, this upper level blends comfort with contemporary design, enhancing both the value and versatility of the property.
